[quote=225877:@Jakob Krabbe]What airport is the closest?
Gatwick, Heathrow or Stansted? London City?

If you are coming by plane then come to Gatwick as it is very easy to get to Wimbledon. The overhead train will take you to Clapham Junction in about 25 minutes and then just change platforms to go to Wimbledon which is 7 mins away. The hotel is just a short walk from the station.
Alternatively if you do decide to come to Heathrow, then head to Earls Court on the Piccadilly line and change to Wimbledon on the district line. Whole journey tales about 50 minutes.
Great directions! Thank you! I hope these can be useful for others as well!
How else would people get there, if not by plane!?
Of-course, train may be possible…
It will help me look for tickets. I can choose Arlanda and Kastrup. I live same distance from both. However, Copenhagen is to prefer. The long distant train stops inside the airport and also, train tickets are cheaper than to Stockholm and it’s in the right direction…! (Shorter flight.) But that’s for me.
You should change the number to the hotel to also include the international code for UK:
0044 844 567 8955
or +44 844 567 8955
I’ve decided not to arrive as the expenses currently is not compatible with my life at this moment. At least I looked in to the possible alternatives!
Also, I thought breakfast was included in the price for the room. It’s a cultural thing. In Sweden it’s included as well as in Indonesia. In USA it’s usually not included and maybe in the UK as well!? At least in this case.
Well, it always depends on what deal you get. Sometimes hotels can be asked to include breakfast if you book directly with them and they save the 15% commission.
Sometimes you find special offers or last minute deals to give you a good price with breakfast.
A few weeks ago I was very disappointed as I paid 139 without breakfast and a colleague paid 99 including breakfast. I didn’t research long enough. And hotel asked 25 for breakfast. (Euro)
That’s so strange!
Why do the hotel do that!? That gives the guest, the user, a very bad “user experience” of that hotel!
Well. I’m sure there is a logic reason… but just in retrospect, it looks strange!
So… But English breakfast is egg and bacon while as continental is tea, white bread and jam? Right?
I’m sure the meeting will be inspiring and pleasant for all people! I’m happy for you!
I really hope to attend one of these meetings… and I shall prepare the small presentation in these days. Just to prepare if there will be a meeting like this again! With the short notice!
