Hi,
I waited to see if release 2 updates UI on Yosemite, i know it’s still on DP but we ARE developers right? do we have to look at that toolbar for next 3 months!!
I’ve edited your post as screenshots of Yosemite break Apple’s NDA.

The first beta version is already available for download out of developers contracts. Chances are the update will be available for all before three months. In the meantime, if you are in a hurry, you may want to consider getting a developer agreement with Apple. As for the UI, it would be surprising that it changes much at this time.
I guess Apple is breaking the NDA as well by posting screenshots of Yosemite AND iOS 8 on their website. Please point out to me where in the NDA it specifically says “screenshots are not allowed even though we showed the world Yosemite”
I quoted the relevant part of the NDA a couple of days ago. Here’s my post, check the bold part: https://forum.xojo.com/13422-yosemite/p1#p106077
It’s fine to discuss it (which is great, and a change from every other year) but we can’t post screenshots or movies.
It’s an Apple product - Apple can do what they want!
NDA says we can’t - see Gavin’s link
Why not link to Apple web site, then ?
Sites down at the moment
But it really does say what gavin posted
I was talking about Xojo not the OS… Xojo 3 months update cycle.
Your question was rather unclear. What do you mean exactly by “I waited to see if release 2 updates UI on Yosemite” ? Do you talk about Xojo toolbar which is not flat, or Xojo support for Yosemite, which as far as I could test seems adequate ? Details, please.

I was not doubting what Gavin says (I have the Apple Developer contract), but rather that if we want to refer to Yosemite design, Apple posts a complete preview at http://www.apple.com/osx/preview/ so it is not necessary to post pictures here.
After playing with Yosemite for a while, I must admit that past the initial adaptation, I now feel much more comfortable with the flat look and the iOS-like general design. I appreciate Xojo use of native controls which makes them look right away like Yosemite, for instance the narrow ProgressBar. I did not spot incompatibilities for my apps, although they will require some touches to look right, including some of the icons which need to be flattened.
At this moment I am developing a new app, and it will have the Yosemite look without extraneous efforts
It’s pretty clear, with 10.10 update the toolbar and other controls are brighter. as you know Xojo toolbar uses a custom toolbar with explicit colors (grayish), so the result looks incompatible on Yosemite.
It’s actually a native toolbar. There are a lot of non-native controls below it though, which makes it look sort of strange.
If you use MBS or MacosLib it will look correctly in OS X 10.10 - checked all my apps and they have the ‘new’ look.
But yes, if you use the Xojo toolbar it will look ‘odd’ on OSX 10.10. Not sure if this will be fixed in Xojo.
Oh no - I presumed a Xojo created toolbar would adopt the new style.
Are you saying that I need to totally start again and create the toolbar via macoslib??
I am glad to hear that at least just to show off heres my actual phone interface with the help of MacOSLIb and the BlackWindow Methods prepared for Yosemite, but I couldnt get a clean white toolbar, not having Yosemite on my Mac yet.

No you don’t, all my apps built with Xojo looks just fine. It’s Xojo itself has incompatibility which i hope to see an update soon.

It would be extremely surprising that Xojo would not work on that.
As I wrote in another thread, I also tested my Carbon application, pretty complex.
Without any recompile, no problem under Yosemite, even the drawers, long forgotten in Cocoa, work perfectly. All controls follow the new look.
Very happy. Thanks Xojo !
There have been some issues we’ve noticed BUT we’ve also filed reports with Apple about them and they have fixed the issues.
There are some things we know we’ll have to update in the IDE but its still fairly early in the Yosemite beta phase.
