Xojo beta

Which tickets? Am I missing something?

All the tickets that are “milestone 2025r3”

As my current and probably last licence expires in November, all I feel is annoyance.

I do not see anything worrying. Must be me.

Good for you.

My concern was in their original announcement regarding the delay of r3. It’s understandable on its face, but they went on to say that the release would also be full of unspecified goodies, making it feel like two releases in one.

I just hope they’re keeping their eye on the ball, and that feature-creep isn’t raising its head to justify the delay. Those old enough to remember Copland will understand.

That is useless as they don’t put a due date on the cases:

That’s not the way to see the tickets for 2025r3, just open the link on any case that you see 2025r3 as the milestone:

or search for ‘Milestone’ ‘is’ ‘Xojo 2025r3’ like this:

Edit: anyway, this is off-topic.

I did and still so no things to panic.

Ok,I know see it too. Hmmm…

Surely that list is not all that is new for 2025r3. I mean, what about macOS26 issues/support? What about AI implementation? I guess the list is for bug fixes/feature request only.

There will also be private tickets created either by users or the team that you won’t be able to see.

I do remember reading someone (from Xojo?) saying something like they intend to release R3 and a series of dot releases after, to stabilize it. Therefore, even they know that “something” (maybe several of them) will probably “slip through” without being perfect yet.

Exactly my point; a release with multiple mayor changes will probably need one or more dot releases for stability. Especially for larger projects, chances are that real that some of the initial flaws are blocking. In that case I’ll have to stick to the april 2025 release.

It would have been nice to have a 2025r2.2 release with fixes while waiting on the postponed 2025r3 release.

FWW with the new beta the issues I had (slow response for some controls, adding items to popumenu, …) are all gone. So that’s good!
