Grid Control is at prototype stage.
Grid control is last on the list. Means other items on list are good for release now?
No, just discussing the Roadmap. Some are closer than others.
Geoff is now answering questions…
Well, now I’ll have to stop.
Now we know who fixed most of the bugs.
Curious who created most
Asked.
The nominees that were not addressed got an automatic thumbs up, but won’t get a priority over other future nominees. So go give the important ones another thumbs up if can.
In response to a question, Geoff alludes to Git integration in the future. No details there, so take that for what it’s worth.
You may work hard and compete for who makes the better grid control.
Is that 2 weeks per major release? So 2 weeks every 4-6 months at the current release schedule?
That’s how I interpreted it. Maybe @Geoff_Perlman can speak more to this here.
What was the motivation for those? Customer feedback/personal desire/other?
I would expect they like to use the new controls in the IDE themselves.
And the reason we have pop overs in our plugins is that people asked for it years ago.
Is this in the prototype stage too?
Presumably. The factors that go into their decision making was outlined earlier in his presentation, but I didn’t describe those details here.
Any further details on this? It’s been talked about for a number of years now?
Not here, no.
Thanks for putting any questions you can forward, I’ll check out the video when it hits YT.
We are recording and I’ll have the keynote up on YouTube as soon as I can.
There are looking for ways to make Xojo work better with version control, is all Geoff will say about it. I’m looking forward to that.
