I’ve used a high resolution display at the apple store to see what all the hubub is about, and I don’t really see what everyone is upset about. Yeah it’s a little pixelated, but it’s really a little pixelated - it’s not a tremendous issue in my eyes.

But I don’t find Xojo app (non Retina) horrible on My MacBook Retina. It would be great to make app retina ready, but it’s not horrible (I think).
There’s a couple of issues here.
First, the Xojo IDE stands out on a retina machine, when every other app is likely to be retina-ready - this looks pretty bad from the point of view of a new user, when “retina” screens have been available for years.
Second, Xojo can’t make retina-ready apps. Now, of course, we can make our apps retina-ready but Xojo doesn’t help us and handles this really badly at the moment, especially for a RAD environment. On a more positive note, Xojo iOS copes just fine so I can’t imagine there’s a huge amount of work to be done.
You know, I have a retina machine and I haven’t hacked the Xojo IDE and it looks fine to me. Honest.
I have to magnify the pixels to see the smudginess that people report : - I figure if I have to magnify things to see the difference, its not that critical.
I still watch SD programmes on my HD television , though…

That’s cool, everyone’s different. For me, it’s hard to go back to a non-retina display now. It’s harder on my eyes. And it just feels wrong for a dev tool to not be retina-ready.
As it’s scheduled, I think I can come back to another question :
Gavin said “Please sign on to Feedback Case #25108”
But how to do that? On this case or another one?
I have “My Top Case” in Feedback. In 5th cell is written a bug I report long time ago (verified). I don’t know who put this case in my Top case, not me (or I didn’t remember).
Is it that? If someone report something I’m interesting in, I drag&drop his case in my Top Case ?
It seems (reading Feedback FAQ) that I have 1 point for an active licence. Then why have 5 Top Case if I can only affect 1 point ?
I never used any points. My licence ended last week, then I don’t have any point. I should have used it before?
Sorry to annoy. Just to say I don’t know how to use Feedback except to report a bug.
It would be better if I could give my point to someone who would use it better than me.
I added a bit more info to the “Ranking Your Cases” section of the Feedback doc page:
Use the My Top Cases selection in the Sidebar to rank cases. Drag open cases from the sidebar onto one of the rank areas to rank the case. You can rank your top 5 cases. The ranking works as follows:
Each active license you have for Xojo counts as 1 point
A Xojo Pro license counts for 12 points total (4 points for each license multiplied by 3)
Assigning a case to a higher ranking multiplies your points. If you have a single license, then a 5th place rank for a case gives it 1 point. A 1st place rank for a case gives it 5 points.
Under each ranking position, you will see how many points are applied to cases.
But it gives only one if we have only one point, right?
The first time I launched Feedback long time ago, I thought we earn points when we report bugs. few points for minor bug, and more points for important bug (explained clearly) .
It’s also affected if you’re not running your display at “Retina” resolution. If you’ve changed the display resolution of the built-in display to anything but Retina, the rules change.
With all due respect - but next time put your glasses on.
The difference is HUGE.
I do not saw any and that was why I asked the question.
