Then I apologise. She was born to Australian parents, who temporarily lived in the USA (as students) when she was born. She thus has dual nationality. However, she is still very much an Australian.

That is what I was thinking before reading the wikipedia page (I wanted to know how tall she is). I do not read the whole page.
She was three when the family returned to Australia so I doubt she even remembers living in the USA in the early days. She has a very distinct Australian accent if you hear her in interviews.
The above post if very funny if you’ve ever been involved in publishing in an academic journal.
