Please check if this is correct or we need to change anything.
Otherwise we will take this information to write the invoice.

Please check your record and if changes are needed, please let us know.

The ticket price contains the conference, sight seeing, training and extra dinners for spouse if applicable.

And first people got an invoice.

If you didn’t get an email this year, please contact me to make sure the registration was not lost.

And later this month we will ask the hotel for who booked a room to make sure everyone has a room in the hotel or somewhere else. I know a few people go to the camp site.

Please notice the end of the early bird offer later this month.

We would encourage you to sign-up soon to get the better price.

And of course make the payments as we also need to make our deposit with the hotel as the conference organizers.

I’ll send out another newsletter later today. Remind people to sign up.

And we extend the early bird by a week, so everyone has a few more days to decide about joining the conference.

MBS Xojo Conference Update

Just three months until the MBS Xojo Developer Conference and our Training Day. The minimum number of attendees was reached in December, so the conference will take place. Please sign-up, book your flights and hotel nights.

Early bird ends soon

The schedule is nearly complete. Please check the session list. We have eleven great speakers and look forward to the talks.

The early bird offer got extended until 31st January 2026, so you have another week to decide and sign-up. If you don’t hear from us within a day or two, please email us.

New sessions

We recently listed two sessions with David Cox:

| Auto Reports — run Reports in your Sleep

Xojo is very useful for creating databases and reporting your data to the screen, a PDF, an email or a printer. Users often need to run these reports daily, weekly or monthly. But this can be a problem when staff are sick, on holidays, just too busy, we forget or when the number of reports gets too large. Auto Reports are normal Xojo reports where your Xojo application runs the reports themselves automatically based on a time or database trigger, then send the results to email or SMS with no human intervention. If you charge for your reports, you can have them delivered even when you are away from your computer, support more clients than you could manually manage and even have your invoices sent automatically.

| Sparkler App — update Desktop or Web Apps to new Version

Xojo is easily able to create Version 1.0 Desktop and Web Apps, downloadable from your web site. But how to they get notified of a new Version 1.1? What if the user downloaded the version for Intel or ARM or the 32-bit version, and they need to keep to this version? Sparkler is written in Xojo and allows your users to be informed when a new version becomes available, see the changes, download and install the new version for their individual App type, whether Desktop or Web, Intel or ARM or Universal, or 32/64-bit version from your web site. The Sparkler Admin application is available for Desktop, Web and iOS. All code is free and unlocked (needs MBS, needs GraffitiSuite for iOS).

Day Trips

You have extra days to spend? Here are a few ideas:

  • Explore Andernach

Walk around the city walls with the gates and towers, stop by the castle ruins, check the city museum, visit the old hospital church, the Maria cathedral and maybe the Geyser Museum with the ship tour to the Geyser.

  • Day trip to Cologne

Take a train, exit the train station and explore the old city, visit the cathedral with climbing up the towers or going down to the treasure room. Visit the Roman Germanic museum next to the cathedral to learn about Roman history.

  • Day trip to Bonn

Take a train to Bonn. Walk through the city center. Visit the Beethoven birth house to learn about this famous musician. Within Bonn you can take the subway if you like to visit the botanic garden or the LVR-LandesMuseum Bonn about history.

  • Day trip to Koblenz

Take a train to Koblenz city center. Walk though the old city to the Rhine. Visit the Deutsche Eck monument where the rivers meet, take the cable car over the River up to the fortress and get a great view from the fortress over the city.

  • Day trip to Braubach

Take the train to Koblenz, change to train to Braubach. Once there walk into the little city. After a refreshment, start the hike up to the Marksburg castle from the 12th century. They have English tours.

  • Day trip to Trier

Take a train to Koblenz, then to Trier. Walk though the old city and you find plenty of Roman ruins like the famous Porta Nigra gate, the Basilica of Constantine, the bath houses, the Amphitheater, plenty of museums and the Roman bridge over the Moselle still used today.

  • Day trip to Speyer

Take the train or car to Speyer to the Technik Museum. Here you have the chance to visit the Spaceshuttle Buran, climb into Submarine U9, Boing 747 and Antonov AN-22 and many more exhibits. Watch a video in the IMAX and see a lot of vintage cars, trains and airplanes. End the day by visiting the city center with the cathedral and enjoy a dinner in a local restaurant.

Anyone without a hotel room?

There are a few rooms reserved for you to book.

Otherwise they will get released for other people to book.

Early bird offer ends in 4 days.

Anyone likes to have a ticket at the cheaper rate?

You could split things up over months: sign-up in January, pay the ticket early February, get flight/train in March and enjoy the trip in April where you pay the hotel.

as you may use credit cards, you may have an additional month to pay it until your monthly statement is due.

Early bird offer ends in 3 days.

Sight seeing part is getting full.

We may need a waiting list. Or organize a taxi following the tour bus.

Do we have anyone to sign-up today?

How do we book the hotel?

It seems that some rooms were blocked for the conference but there is no direct link to make the reservation.

EDIT: nevermind, I found an email from einsteinhotels.de that confirmed my reservation.
