You may have seen the announcement in the forum here and on our blog. We sent emails to the attendees from last conference and people from the survey.
The location and date is set. We already have a few registrations for attendees. If you like to join, please sign up soon.
The conference happens the 23rd and 24th April 2026. There is a get-together on the 22nd April on the evening before and a farewell meet-up on the 24th in the evening. Optionally you can sign-up for a training day.
If you plan an intercontinental trip to Europe, please consider taking your spouse and add a few extra days for a little vacation. Look for cheaper flights to other places in Europe, do some sight seeing and use local train or a rental car to later come to Andernach. e.g. you could fly to Paris, do some sight seeing there, then later take trains to Brussels, Cologne and then Andernach. Or fly to Amsterdam, see canals and stop by the beach before the conference.
We look forward to having you at the conference!

Seven months until our MBS Xojo conference in Andernach starts. Since we basically repeat the 2024 event, a lot of details are already set except what to do on Thursday evening.
Evening event
For Thursday evening, we had these dinner events in the past:
- Walk to a nearby specialty restaurant for dinner
- Have a boat trip on the river to enjoy the views
- Take the bus to a castle to see it and enjoy a meal
- Rent a party location for dinner
- Went to a brewery with optional tour of the facility
- Went to a facility where everyone could use a digger
- Went underground to discover the Vulcan cellars in Mendig
What would you like to enjoy with the conference?
If you like to join, please register as we need to know how many people come to decide which event to do this year.
Speaker
We got a few presentations, but we would love to see more. Looking on the roadmap, we expect to have Xojo 2026r1 be in testing or shipped at the time of the conference next year.
Would you be interested to learn at the conference or present on one of the following topics?
- Improving Xojo applications for macOS 26
- Xojo Libraries introduction
- Grid Control introduction and how to use
- Using AI assistant with Xojo
Feel free to sign up for the conference and submit your topic to us.
Dates
To remind you, the dates are like this:
If you like to enjoy everything, you may prefer to arrive Monday and leave Saturday, maybe do some more sightseeing and fly home Sunday.

We added two sessions to the listing:
Protecting Sensitive Data in Xojo: Practical Encryption Techniques Using MBS Plugins
Encryption is essential for protecting sensitive user and business data—but implementing it correctly is often confusing. In this practical session, building secure, efficient encryption workflows directly in Xojo using the MBS plugins will be shown.
Using the DICOM medical image format as a complex but relatable data model, we’ll explore how to handle mixed-type binary structures, manage endian differences, and work with Xojo’s MemoryBlock class to prepare data for encryption. From there, you’ll see real examples of AES-256 file encryption and decryption, key generation, chained encryption blocks, and performance optimization with the MBS Crypto classes.
Along the way we’ll cover common pitfalls (such as re-using IVs or ignoring data structure), when to use symmetric vs. asymmetric encryption, and how to keep your code aligned with regulatory standards such as FIPS 140 or HIPAA—even if you’re not working in medicine.
Attendees will receive a download code for working code fragments covering file, text, and database encryption techniques ready for adaptation in their own projects.

Development of a tourist information system to promote local agritourism based on Xojo and Raspberry Pi installations
The KaczawskieKlimaty.pl foundation promotes an agritourism region in Poland, home to vineyards and extinct volcanoes. Their project involves placing touch panels and Raspberry Pis with appropriate Xojo software in each agritourism farm. Visitors can plan trips, read descriptions of nearby attractions, and so on—all on a panel located in their room.

Anyone making plans for next year?
Let me know if you have questions about the conference!
The hotel prices went up since our last conference, but the rate set for the upcoming Xojo conference 2026 are still the same:
120 Euro/night for one person
130 Euro/night for two people
This rate may extend for a few days before/after the conference, if you like to stay longer. The regular rates for rooms are more like 180 Euro/night.
All prices include 19% VAT. You may check with your tax consultant on whether you can reclaim the VAT for your trip when you are back home.
We had trouble with the registration form.
It didn’t work today for an attendee.
If anyone signed up and didn’t get an email from me in reply, please contact us.
Also you should have received a hotel confirmation, if you got a hotel room.
yes got mine, thx , happy to see you next year at the conference.
