Lifeboat escapes the wrath of the path
Hours ago a relatively severe vulnerability was reported to the issue tracker. This Lifeboat update includes a configuration patch to prevent your applications from being vulnerable. Please update Lifeboat and then your servers immediately.
I’m sorry, I don’t have anything fun to say. Please download this update.

glad I helped you on this one !!! ![]()
Thank you!
Greaty job as always!
Hi Tim,
I had to renew my license to install this version, but had real trouble applying the new key. On windows do you always have to ‘deactivate’ the existing license to apply the new one - it’s not clear.
Hi Jon,
Thanks so much for your continued business! I’m sorry you had trouble with activation.
I had intended the process to be automatic. When you return to Lifeboat after extending an activated license, Lifeboat is supposed to fetch and display your new Updates Period in the window. Lifeboat does this without a lot of feedback unless something goes wrong.
Deactivating then re-activating the license key is the most reliable way to ensure you have the up-to-date Updates Period applied. You shouldn’t have to, but there is no limit of any kind for doing so.
I will improve the renewal / extension process to be more clear about success. Thank you for the feedback, it really helps me build a better app ![]()
On my end it looks like you’re activated and operational. Please let me know if that is not correct or if you need any more help.
Best wishes,
Tim Parnell
Another nitpick for a better update experience:
After installing newest version on Mac, I’ve launched Lifeboat on Windows (settings are synced).
So expected warning: “Settings Version Conflict. Settings are newer than this version of Lifeboat”.
It would be nice not only have the “OK” button, but also a link to download the newer version.
Either way - keep up your good work!
