Best Mac for Xojo Development
So I bought a brand new iMac . Screaming fast. Open, Save, Copy Really fast. I love it.

Just one issue its retina. My old imac was not.

Now the IDE bogs down if there are too many objects on the page.

Its always something…
I sit on the latest 27” iMac from morning til night and I don’t see the IDE bogging down regardless of how big the project is. What version are you running?

Have you tried a web project? It’s 100% reproducible here.

No, desktop and iOS mostly, very little Web. So is this a Web thing, Jay?

I usually have Xojo(2016), Xcode, Safari (with multiple windows), Excel as well as one or two other apps, and notice zero lag
and this is a iMac 27" Retina 2017 model… and like Gavin… I sit WAY too long in front of it every day.

How lucky you are.

Thanks for the link! Interestingly there is even an API included, easy to use with some declares.
If someone needs to use the data from within Xojo, let me know and I’ll put the code I got so far on a public repository.

2018 r1

Merci

They’re finally back with a new IndieGogo. I still love mine.
Now they also have a 15 inch, retina resolution version.
