My guess is that Jeff is asking for the code (lines of code that you wrote in Xojo) you are using that gets the error you are talking about.
IOException is generally handling files. But please show the code causing this…

are you reading/writing to a file? are you using TextInputStream/TextOutputStream? BinaryStream? something else? without more details it is very difficult to help you. we are trying but dont have enough information to help you.

As you said, you were able to install without problems on another PC, so yes, something on your PC is blocking Xojo installation/execution. Disable antivirus software or other security software for a few minutes to see if that changes anything.
