Xojo Forum - Admins locking threads and deleting post

Why do admins keep locking threads and deleting post when postings of any kind are negative towards Xojo…?

There are things that we dislike about other products and likewise post these in other forums. They never get deleted or locked unless foul language etc comes into play.

It’s their playground, they can do as they wish.

We welcome constructive criticism, it helps us improve the product. We do lock threads from time to time when nothing substantial is being added to that particular conversation any more. But we certainly do not lock any thread that is “negative”- that is plain to see.

It would have been kinda funny if you had locked this thread though.

Yup. lol

It was with reference to my earlier thread “Xojo cloud expensive” however in hind-sight it is not made clear enough IMHO other than a standard rackspace VPS service all the other R&D efforts, customization that accompany the Xojo cloud offering.

Xojo really should highlight that as I believe it would make a difference when making a decision whether to opt for Xojo cloud vs an alternative VPS solution

:frowning: Sorry if my other thread was mis-interpreted

Several people said it quite clearly on that thread

Lee, in that other thread it was obvious that one of two things were happening:

a) You didn’t read all the responses.
b) The responses didn’t matter, because your mind was already made up.

I believe Xojo was right to lock that thread, it wasn’t going go anywhere. I suspect the same is true of this thread.

I say only one thing, it is Xojo inc their forum and they do what they please with it, however if this kind of (wrong) moderation by Xojo inc’s moderators continues, they are killing their own forum.

With all respect, but moderation is not as fair as you want to make the general public believe mr. Travis Hill. At least I have the style to forgive and forget and aplogise when I am wrong, I cannot say the same of the moderators here.

This is my last reply or remark I made about moderation here. My experience with the moderation here was insulting and humiliating enough, case is closed for me forever. This was really my last word about it.

Lets be positive, learn our lessons and move on with the things we do best… using Xojo to create excellent applications for our customers.

Kind regards,

Chris
