Xojo 2025R3 slow launching

After the latest macOS26.2 update, Xojo 2025R3 launches extremely slow on both my systems.

It seems to get stuck in loading the MBS plugins. Each plugin takes >5 minutes. In my case it takes. 30 minutes to launch Xojo every single time. Happens on both my systems.

Without the plugins, Xojo launches in 4 seconds.

Activity Monitor is reporting nothing special. Xojo (not responding) is at 0.6%

Anyone else having this problem?

I updated to 15.7.3 this morning and while it’s not greater than five minutes bad, launching Xojo and building projects have been noticeably slower today.

I only see this when the internet connection isn’t working.

Internet connection is fine. No issues on that part.

Will do some more tests.

Well, disabling internet connection fixes the problem and Xojo launches normally with all the MBS plugins.

Did a quick internet speedtest: 782Mbps on average. Fast enough and speedy. :slight_smile:

Also, I do not use any Firewalls etc…

Looks there is something Xojo is doing that locks up loading plugins while doing ‘something’ online.

Sounds like the code sign validation for the dylib takes a while.
I don’t see the trouble here, but we had that before.

You can use Activity Monitor to sample Xojo.app and see where the time is spent.

Does that explains why it does load fast without having internet access?

Without internet access the check can’t run.

Well, some user on Windows did have trouble some time ago as Windows tried to load the Certificate revocation list, which failed if the Firewall blocked it.
So it waited for a timeout. The fix was to allow the loading of the list once.

So what is the solution here? Disabling internet access when launching Xojo? Or just not use MBS plugins? :smirking_face:

I’m running macOS and do not use firewalls either (the macOS Firewall is turned off)

How about you watch your internet traffic and check if code sign contacts a domain like crl.apple.com or similar?

or check if Console.app shows a log message for this.
