XDC is just over 5 months away! We’ve all been stuck at home for far too long, and we’re so over virtual events. It’s time to find out what happens when you combine a group of Xojo developers and the great city of London.

XDC Student Grant
Young developers can learn a lot by networking with professionals and experienced developers at conferences. However, a huge barrier to attend for any student is cost. Jérémie Leroy, developer of the iOS app Packr , has generously offered sponsor one student to attend XDC in London. Jérémie will cover the cost of the conference registration, which includes meals, and provide a hotel room at the conference hotel, the recipient will only need to pay travel costs to and from London.
Interested students, please provide your eligibility details to xdc@xojo.com by October 20th.
- Must be a student or under age of 25.
- Provide proof of age or student card.
- Describe yourself in a few lines and how long you have been using Xojo.
We will review submissions and may have follow-up questions. We are looking forward to seeing more young developers at the Xojo Developer Conference .
The Call for Speakers is open!
Send your proposed session topic, a brief description and your contact information to xdc@xojo.com anytime before November 15, 2021. You can view past session topics and recorded presentations here. Good sessions stem from topics you think Xojo developers might be interested in - from business tips to Xojo best practices, UI design, beginner or advanced features or anything in between. We know you do it for the applause but, all speakers also receive a 50% discount on their conference registration.
You don’t have to wait until the deadline to send your session over, I have already received several so please keep them coming! 
Travel Planning
Go check your passport expiration date now. If it’s expired, start the process now to renew because processing times are longer than usual.
We have been finding really great travel prices as we have been booking our own travel from the US. If your dates are flexible, try browsing Google Flights to see which days are cheaper, you may end up saving a couple hundred dollars. From Austin, for example, flights can be bought roundtrip for around $700, from New York $346 (yes, roundtrip!), Boston $414, Seattle $715, Houston $663, Chicago $410, San Francisco $475, Miami $457.
The conference hotel is less than $200/night. You do not have to stay at the conference hotel, however your conference experience will be better if you do. Why? First, if you have ever been to an XDC you already know that one of the main benefits is those impromptu conversations that take place in the hallway, the lobby, the pub, etc. If you have not been to XDC before - you’ll recognize this on day 1! Staying onsite not only makes it easier to participate, but if you need a break during the day - you do not have far to go! If you are trying to save on your hotel room there are other less-expensive hotels in the area.
The hotel itself is fairly easy to get to from the airport. You’ll get on the Piccadilly line at Heathrow Airport and take that all the way to Russell Square. When you exit the hotel is across the street. This will take about 50 minutes and is less expensive (and more direct) than taking the Heathrow Express.
Registration
Currently around 50 people are signed up. Register now to guarantee your spot! Registering early helps us plan an amazing conference. The price of attendance is $950, with the early bird discount offering a $100 discount through February. In addition to attending the conference, your registration fee also includes meals during the event. This conference is something we do for the community and we keep the cost as low as possible. XDC doesn’t generate a profit for Xojo, but it’s our entire team’s favorite work week of the year!
