Why are people wasting their feedback points on Android?

Android support is already coming.

So why is Android support still the number 1 feature request?

Those points could be used for other things …

That’s right! Let’s get the old documentation back!

This request shooting up to the top 20 in merely two hours should speak volumes to Xojo.
Hopefully they listen.

One can but hope …

I just put it on top in my cases, but it stayed at #14 :frowning:

iOS was the number 1 request for a long time after iOS support was announced. So I’d have to say that people don’t keep their Feedback points up-to-date.

I have no intention to start flames, but I believe many people feel this is not very useful, due the priorities are often not kept in real consideration.

Some few examples:
6th place <https://xojo.com/issue/3215> from 2004
7th place <https://xojo.com/issue/1095> from 2006
20th place <https://xojo.com/issue/3624> from 2008

So why people should put efforts on voting issues when the 6th more requested feature is laying there since 14 years?

It makes us feel less lonely in our struggles, and because for a brief moment it gives us the illusion that what we say matters …

=o

For those who can vote, is it possible to get the points back ?

You have 5 slots with different points for each. You can move the cases or remove them, so you can change the points for the case.

I think when a case is closed, then it no longer list the points. So my guess is once the Android support is released, then it will no longer list as top case.

And can we sell our slots ? I never used them, then I just filled 2 cases. I don’t know what to put in the 3 others.

Ohh well, I think we don’t need a slots market

And btw, the value is given by the utility and given what I already said, it doesn’t worth buy them.

Sounds like “Feedback” is similar to that British/US TV Show “Whos Line is it anyways”

I was kidding, the price may have been a beer but you’re all to far away.

Android development is now in first place or I don’t understand ? :-/

5th place <https://xojo.com/issue/30> goes back to 2000. That’s 18 years. What a shame.

I can’t say I’ve ever had an issue scrolling through my list of variables in the debugger to find one that I’m looking for. Try a tighter scope and smaller methods

(I’m not saying it’s a bad feature request, just trying to help with what’s available now)
