Where to find docs on Shared Method & Properties Xojo 2023R4

Hello all,

I cannot seem to find detailed docs on Shared Methods or Share Properties. When searching the docs for shared, there is nothing written about what exactly they are and how to use correctly.

Any direction would be greatly appreciated!

I just opened the docs and typed “Shared Methods” into the search and it came up as the number 1 item.

There are lots of issues with the help search, but this doesn’t seem to be one of them?

Well, I did exactly the same thing, and got the Layout Editor. There was also Folder Item and there was also Color, Picture and a few more that had nothing to do with it. I also tried just ‘Shared’. That brought up a result but it appeared to be more of a footnote than a real explanation. No example shown either

My guess is that Tim searched for “shared method” and Ian for “shared methods”.

Ah, as I said there are a lot of things wrong with documentation the search. Clearly that’s another one. It could be worth you adding a bug report for it as your search term seems perfectly reasonable.
