Best wishes and I hope everything goes well!
Just get well!
One year and a half ago they discovered that my abdominal aorta was 9 mm instead of 2 or 3.
Iâm sure your operation will be succesful as mine was (I was 76, now Iâm 78).
Hope it goes well Tim
Hi, about a year ago I went through a similar event. Not sure of your issue, but for me it is stage 4 metastasized prostate cancer. I underwent a couple of months of radiation treatment and now some minor chemo and a couple of other drugs that I canât wait to stop. So far no more cancer is detectable. They are talking in the five year terms of treatment now.
So my message for you is you can beat it. Whatever it is.
and remember, attitude is a big part of the healing.
Hope the surgery goes well and you have a speedy recovery!
Best wishes Tim.
cm, not mm to be pedantic
@TimStreater the link to download the Xojo Source for AddressBook and iServer (on Sourcefiles Download Page) is correct, but the link for iLetter has a lowercase âLâ and so is not working. The correct link is:
Thanks, @David_Cox , that should be fixed now. I was in a bit of a hurry yesterday.
Tim, I wish your surgery will be ok.
I asked the same question some time ago: What will become my projects after my death?
All my projects (as all my documents) are saved on my second (old) Mac, on an external disk, on a NAS and my projects are on my website in a protected folder (htaccess). I told my daughters to post the user/password here but Iâm sure they will forget where I wrote them.
I hope everything goes fine with the surgery, Tim
I agreed with Frank fully. Positive Attitude is very important in healing.
I have Stage 2 Breast Cancer back in 2019 and have just 2 weeks of Radiotherapy and 1 months ago, I finish my Cancer medication after 5 years. I have mammogram every year for the last 5 year and nothing has been detected.
Tim, I hope everything goes well with the surgery and you will need a lot of rest⊠but too much rest will bore you which happen to me⊠so after 2 weeks⊠I start getting back to normal⊠not working⊠but surfing the net⊠listening to nice music
Thanks @Richard_Duke and everyone else for your support. What has happened so far is that two weeks ago I had two seizures, ending up in hospital for just over a week. After some scans the consultants have sat me down and said âThis is serious. Tumour.â
I can therefore expect to be sent to Kingâs College Hospital at Denmark Hill in London, within the next couple of weeks for brain surgery.
Brain Tumour is serious stuff⊠so you donât know when is the surgery yet?? hopefully you get a date soon.
That is a good hospital. The company I used to work for installed a bunch of MRIâs in the Kingâs College Hospitals. A bunch of good people. That was many years ago, I bet it is still the same.
You are a technician, a problem solver. Help them heal you. Cancer treatment is much improved.
We usually go to St George Hospital in Tooting or Queen Mary Hospital is Roehampton Lane⊠I did have my radiotherapy at The Royal Marsden, Sutton, Surrey⊠sometime the waiting for appointment time take longer the time it take to do the actual radiotherapy
I wish you the best. Iâll echo the others who have said that youâre a valued member of the community. What you describe sounds like what my younger sister went through a number of years ago.
Sorry. You are right. I fact they used to refer to it (abdominal aortal aneurysm) as âthe potatoâ.
