What database should I choose?

w3 Schools is a great place for SQL References. I’ve learned a lot messing around there.

RegEx is a far more complicated beast! I don’t know what I would do without RegExRx!

Yes! And for databases it is good and helpful (but eventually expensive) having a good database IDE where you can not only test SQL statements but giving you advices and hints. I couldn’t survive without datagrip for instance.

I’ve managed to get by using Valentina Studio. It’s free and seems to work pretty well. Valentina Studio Pro is better and sometimes you can get it in an Omega Bundle.

Good to hear there are free solutions out there. I’m using SQL on a daily base … so a professional tool is worth every penny. I heard a lot of good things about Valentina though.
