Is it possible to assign a hint to a weblistboxcell?

I’ve been doing a hack and setting a renderer with the grayed out hint text, but then if someone edits it, and leaves it empty, the action event doesn’t fire (so I can re-apply the hint) and the cell is blank.

Do you want to share a sample of how your renderer / editable field work? Maybe we can fix that bug? I’m available privately too.
