Warning EL Capitan and iOS

Today I got an invitation as a developer to install El Capitan GM. Which means the official release is coming fast.

Do not update if you are in the process or plan to develop iOS apps. XCode 6.4 (the version Xojo currently uses) is not compatible, and you will be forced to update to XCode 7, which does not work with the current version of Xojo (2015R2.4).

Actually, you can run Xcode 6.4 under the El Capitan GM- and Xojo works OK with it.

Good news. The beta did not accept 6.4…

Confirm : El Capitan GM does accept 6.4. I was able to reinstall it, and the Simulator works fine again

Yeah thank Apple for that one
I believe that should be resolved in our next beta
Took me a while to figure out what the heck made it break

The Finder List View Name column width bug is still there. *

Also, the El Capitan external Hard Disk inherit from the “other boot volume” some weird “Preferences”. **

I do not had time to do much more.

  • Open a window,
    Set the View “By List”,
    Enlarge the Name column width,
    Close the window,
    Open the window.

** This goes as far as 10.3.

Both were reported.
