VPN Options

When I have very strange bugs with clients I’d like to be able to do a remote debug session to see what’s going on.
They always offer TeamViewer, which doesn’t work.

Does anyone know of an on-demand VPN option that one could subscribe to for such instances? I’d like to be able to control the network myself rather than rely on customers IT.

I use splashtop. https://splashtop.com

Which product do you use?
And you have used it for remote debugging?

Splashtop is excellent remote system control. Their SOS product is good for on-demand support (like TeamViewer).

Seems like you’re looking for something more like Hamachi was. I don’t think it’s still around, but I used it for very remote debugging for years. Nowadays I think people use ZeroTier for peer-to-peer VPNs, but I haven’t tried it myself.

@Chris_Halford - you might want to look at Tailscale too?

I’m not 100% sure if it fits the bill, but it might. (and it’s a very cool product either way  )

You should consider ZeroTier as well.

Greg, this was perfect.
I used it with a customer just now and it was very easy to implement and I was impressed with the speed I could debug with someone on the other side of the world.

Thank you for the suggestion.
