Uninterested.

I thought a pint meant beer… And Nestles? I thought it was Nestl.

In the UK ads - it was always pronounced Nestles

David S has come unstuck in time.

I think he needs to spend some more time in the pet peeves thread!

No-one needs to do that!

Remember marathon?

Yes, and Opal Fruits

Earlier today Mummy made scones and they were really scrummy!

Yummy in my tummy

Fun fact - Hersey makes better chocolate for Canada than the USA
odd but true - a higher fat content makes for creamer smoother chocolate

The BBC even derided US chocolate http://www.bbcamerica.com/mind-the-gap/2012/11/06/food-and-drink-10-things-that-taste-different-in-the-u-s/

Many chocaholics will travel to Canada just to buy their hersheys bars here (and to get some kinds you can’t get elsewhere)

Similarly, Hershey makes better chocolate in the UK, creamier, smoother etc. Maybe it’s the same as the Canadian stuff?

Cadbury’s Irish chocolate is also a slightly different (better) recipe compared to the British recipe. I always grab some to bring home when I’m there.

One of my favorites

Well regardless of that funny mark over the last letter. the jingle here in the US was pronouced both as “ee”

for those of you who didn’t get the above reference… here is an old US commerical

Do they have wagon wheels in Texas?

Nestl : https://translate.google.com/translate_tts?ie=UTF-8&q=nestlé&tl=fr&total=1&idx=0&textlen=6&client=t&prev=input

Google engine have the tongue between the teeth but the UK version is insane. :stuck_out_tongue:

Pfft! Chocolate, nothing compares to real Cadbury’s Diary Milk… Except maybe Galaxy… mmmm, and no I don’t mean that Samsung Galaxy, leaves a plasticky aftertaste.

God you guys are making me miss England for once! Cadbury’s Creme Eggs… The chocolate here in Asia is really poor, if you’re lucky you might find the Aussie Snickers bars (which taste like Snickers), but most of the time its the Russian Snickers which, at first I though had gone bad!

Is there any chocolate besides Lindt and Rausch in normal grocery stores?
