Ukrainian Xojo developer could use a little help

There is a rule (a law?) - Ukrainians can’t be in EU for more than 90 days. Poland extended it to 180 days.

We are over 90 days already. We consulted with immigrant attorneys. We can’t visit another EU countries without been deported to Ukraine. Perhaps, some are closing eyes on it.

But it definitely not worse to check. It is another reason why we can’t use many stops in Europe.

I am Canadian. I flew often with Air Canada, generally a good airline. They are however currently experiencing huge difficulties with late flights and cancelled flights, due to shortage of personnel. True or false not sure, I read that they are missing something like 1200 pilots right now. (employment opportunity if you are a commercial pilot!)

It is a rule of law that you cannot stay beyond 90 days without some kind of residence card. Given the current circumstances I wonder if there is a special status you could apply for and which would grant residency for a longer period.

As far as I can read, you can be in Germany until 31st August 2022 without a visa.
And you can ask for the resistance permission in that time.

Hi Kyryl Pekarov,

The rule or law you mentioned is in normal times, for tourists or economic travelers. People like you, will receive an extension after 90 days. You have to ask for an extension when your 90 days are almost over.

Belgium, France, Germany, The Netherlands will not sent you back to a region where there is war. Your interpretation is wrong or you prefer to go to Canada, it is one of both.

You, your family and all Ucraine people in need, are welcome in Europe. However, from your point of view, I should also prefer going oversees because the further away, the more safer. When it goes terribly wrong, even people in Europe will not be safe.

Let us hope the war ends soon.

Wish you very good luck and all the best I can wish you. Ukraine people deserve much better as many others too.

Chris

WOOHOOO!

We hit our goal in under 24 hours. The Pekarov family will be in Canada before the month is over.

@Alyssa_Foley Could you please lock this thread.

Thanks to all of you that were helpful.

The cost of tickets was a bit higher than $5000. So I will be leaving the gofundme page up thru the end of the weekend. if there are those just seeing this and you still would like to help. Kindly do so.
