About translations: try https://www.deepl.com/translator - I found their translations to be MUCH better than Google Translate.

I sometimes translate posts here on the Spanish or Italian forum too, and the English and German translations sound very good indeed. On the other hand, Google Translate can be the source of great hilarity, so you would miss out on that …

Alas, Markus, I went out to deepL with high expectations only to return crushed … there’s only a handful of languages that deepL accepts (you know, those mundane tongues like German, French, Italian, heck, even Polish, etc.) and the showstopper was NO SWEDISH! Can you imagine that?

Det stinker verkligen … Jag talar för alla mina svenska vänner när jag säger att jag är förolämpad! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It‘ll come … as soon as the Swedish can be bothered to speak more than three words to train the AI …

No absolutely not, if there is ONE language that needs automatic translation …

see the example:
Det stinker verkligen … Jag talar för alla mina svenska vänner när jag säger att jag är förolämpad!
On second thought … MUCH better not to translate Swedish at all …

There is even an application now! twice cmd+c in any application or browser and a popup opens with the translation.

I can confirm Deepl is much better than any other translator I’ve tried.

Being me Italian and living in Germany I do use sometimes Google Translate and, while in the last years it got better, the Italian <-> German translation it’s still sometimes very bad, or at least not comparable with the quality of English <-> German translations.

Deepl instead is VERY accurate and often the results are pretty much perfect.
