Slider and focus

When a slider has focus, Windows draws a nasty dotted line around it. Is there a way around this?
(I think the slider is one of the uglier controls available)

That’s the Windows “Focus Ring”. As Windows is very keyboard centric, it shows that that control can be slid by the keyboard. Removing it (if possible) is not a recommended action.

I know it is the focus ring :). I found a solution in giving a hidden control focus. Thanks

And your users can still use the slider with the keyboard?
