skull logo when type plus sign

Hi all!

A friend of mine has a problem in his house.

When he types “+” sign in xojo. Xojo writes a Skull icon.
What does it mean?

  • Is it in the XOJO IDE?
  • In an app written in XOJO?
  • Does it happen in ANY other program?
  • Is it the ENGLISH Keyboard or another keyboard configuration?
  • Are there any keyboard macros installed or programmed in?
  • Is it in OSX or Windows?

I doubt seriously if the program is in the XOJO application itself, as it would require that the “something” is changing a keystroke of “0x2B” [+] to become a Unicode character “0x2620” [? assuming that is the skull being seen]

Yes ira happening in Xojo. The program was written in xojo 2.42 this started to happen when he update to Xojo 2015R3.1

Doesnt happen in other programs. Only in xojo. This xojo is running On a Mac.

Sounds like he’s got a corrupt download. Have him go to our website and download 3.1 again.

I also have the same problem… Have to copy paste a plus sign. :frowning:

@Julian Schiavo - please download Xojo from our website again and reinstall it. It sounds like your download was corrupt.
