I am used to shave with soap and hot water. The blades I used are getting more expensive by the day (Wilkinson Quattro, 20,- for 8). So I decided to go back in time and use the old fashioned double blades with a safety razor. I takes about 2-3 months for your skin to adapt to this kind of blade.
I use this soap and these blades for a perfect result. I must admit it takes some time to shave without any nicks but the result is perfect, even better than the Wilkinson 4(!) blades. And yes, the blades are incredibly sharp but I manage to shave now without any blood oozing… The blades are around $5.99 for 10 pieces. I can shave a week with one blade.
I admit the soap is expensive, but it lasts for months and the experience is great! If you want to save money (not time) on blades try this…

That’s the best way to save money AND time!
As a bonus, your face will not be as cold in the winter :)
On the down side, I’m more likely to get my computer looked at when going through customs.
Which, for some bizarre reason, made me think of Viz …

I don’t know if you are joking but I get constant herrassment to have a shave sometimes from my parents. They say it looks bad. I guess my facial hair is too sparse at my age.

Evolve - grow less hair
A simple disposable 3 blade razor lasts me about a month
Gee… If I don’t shave for 3 days I look like a hedgehog. I was triggered by the cost of the blades, Schick or Wilkinson. Soo expensive while manufacturing costs are maybe 12 cents a piece, maybe even less.
I trim my beard once a week with a beard trimmer and shave my neck and cheeckbones with water and soap.
That’s only a fraction of the usual shaving area, therefor my razor blade last quite a long time.

If I shave off what little grows it takes better part of a week for any of it to regrow in any noticeable way
But thats just consistent with human evolution.
We’ve been getting less & less harry for millennia & I’m just doing my part to continue that trend :P
You are obviously aheade of me, in means of mankind evolution. My beard is growing an growing and my my wife is complaining and complaining, because I also shave it only once a week
High-end Braun electric shaver, no looking back after I switched several years ago. Soooo much easier than all that shaving cream, blades, and water. Newer electric razors work a lot better than ones I tried 20 years ago.
