Screenobjects cannot be dragged nor can they be resized.

Hi everybody,

I just upgraded to Xojo 2017 r1 on Windows 7. After installing I run the Xojo appliation and try to drag a control from the Library onto the form. The drag is not working.

When I double click on any control then that control is placed on the form but cannot be moved or resized. I see the double arrows but that is all.

I am using a Wacom Intuos Comic & Touch Medium tablet because I can only use my right hand. Because of the limitations of my hands, I need to use the graphics tablet and a pen. But it is also not working with the touchpad on the laptop.

Can anybody tell me what is wrong?

I will appreciate your help very much.

Don’t put controls on Screen objects. You put them on Views and then assign views to screens.

Thank you very much Greg for your help which I do appreciate.

Now I started up my laptop again, Xojo works perfectly. I can drag the controls (like listbox, textfield
, …) to the dialog section and I can do what I want with them.

I read your reply and do not understand. If you read the former paragraph, am I doing something wrong? Please tell me when that is the wrong method, because I like to do it the correct way.
