Real Studio on Mac M1 in Windows 11 and VMware

Hi all,

I tried to install Real Studio Version 2012 r2.1 on a MacBook Pro M1 inside a Windows 11 ARM VMware machine without success. The installation seems to launch and run in the background for a short while and then terminates. I tried as admin as well.

Does someone have an idea how to get it running? I just want to have a look at an old project, but have no X86 computer available.

Is there a newer version you can use, even if it isn’t the current version? Newer versions can still open old projects.

I think you can emulate (not virtualize, so slow) a X86_64 machine with UTM.

I finally found the solution. Xojo on Mac cannot open old Real Studio projects, but Xojo on Windows can, even inside VMware.

It would have been good up to Windows 7, I suspect.
