Raspberry Pi 3 is coming

I will get one tomorrow - € 39,00

Would love to see it when I’m at your office tomorrow.

A question : would Xojo succeed to keep up with all those new improvements?

To be honest, I am very concerned that Xojo inc has too much on their plate and no longer can keep up with all those improvements and new features.

My opinion: Until now they have done it quite well.

Its probably not huge amount of work for them they have Linux done for 64 bit. 64 bit is handled by the clang mostly. So I am guessing its easy to support ARM 64 bit.

Whaaaaaat? 2 years ago you would be saying, they will never get 64 bit Xojo Complete. Xojo will never run on a raspberry Pi. I would say the last 18 months Xojo has flown in leaps and bounds (is that physically possible).

Give them some credit!

Yep, mad props to the xojo team for bringing support to the pi. The timing for this was perfect.

I’ll be fine with 32bits for the time being. If I was to ask for anything it would be a way to upload and debug seamlessly from windows or mac.

So far this journey has been awesome, thanks again xojo!

+1, I agree with that, in fact i’m not bothering with upgrading my licence until that is available.

some nice benchmarks:

I am only expressing my concern. I like to use Xojo very much and like to see this nice tool flourish.

I agree, they already came a long way. I am sure Xojo inc will surprise us again in the future.

Some interesting discussion and information on moving to a 64-bit operating system for the Raspberry Pi 3:
