Phoenix, AZ (June 15th 2018) – piDog Software has released version 1.11.0 of DataView and piDogScrollingCanvas
With it’s latest release piDogSoftware has added a few new features to DataView including PDF support.
DataView now supports native PDF generation through CoreGraphics on MacOS. Creating a PDF from a DataView is as simple as calling the function SaveAsPDF with a location to save the file and a PDF_Info_PDS object containing various options such as SinglePage, IncludeHeadingOnEveryPage, and some PDF tags, including Author, Creator, Title, and Description. You can also specify a custom page width and height.
DataView also supports creating PDFs with the use of DynaPDF using the DynaPDFMBS plugin by changing the super of a DataView to DataView_With_DynaPDFMBS and calling the same SaveAsPDF function. This functionality requires a plugin license from MonkeyBread Software.
Other features included in this release include:
Improvements to Single Cell Drag and drop.
Improved control and customization of cell printing
Improved support for keyboard navigation including tabbing column to column
DateChooser now allows keyboard navigation on all platforms
A new BorderRaised style for gridlines and cell borders
New ChildrenPersist property to allow adding child rows to a folder using AddChildRow() rather than adding rows during the ExpandRow event. This allows rows to be hidden and shown as the folder is expanded and collapsed with no extra code.
This update also includes numerous bug fixes listed in the release notes.
piDogDataView is intended to be an easy to use replacement for Xojo’s Listbox control, providing more capabilities and a more native feel.
piDogDataView and piDogScrollingCanvas are a package and are available together encrypted for $129 or with source code access for $349. Both licenses include one year of updates from the date of purchase.
