That is the problem: I never fired it, never need it, and yes, Stocks can be its US-English name, but its name does not matter: it’s a Ghost application !
I tried to trash the application: not allowed.
I cannot compress it nor rename it.
BUT I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT THE NAME OF THE APPLICATION HAVE TO DO WITH MY PROBLEM. I’ve made a screen shot to deal with that (if a deal have to be done).
Did you try Cmd-Option-Esc ? (Force-Quit) to show the window ? This is the only place where the application appears as running.
The Stocks and the News apps are currently “System” things in macOS, you can’t delete them or at least shouldn’t.
What you can do to avoid it is:
Go to “System Preferences” → “Notifications”, locate “Stocks” (Bourse) and uncheck all notifications there to turn it “off”.
