Doing this, IMO, is not only good documentation but also shows respect for the person who comes later, the maintainer who has to adjust stuff to a slightly different environment.

I’m afraid it may be an updater, not a full installer. I am downloading it and will try this afternoon when back home.
I saw this web page (I think), and downloaded the (same ?) dmg two or three times and the install is rejected after the reboot.
Another weird stuff is “There is not enough room to install macOS” on a hard disk where > 1.5TB is available. I suspect the initialization was done for data use, not boot…
