Open specific folder dialog with filters

Nutshell description - I’m working on modernizing an older Windows program of mine for the Database Administrators i.e. me and my co-workers.

I need to present an open file dialog with the initial directory of C:\Windows\System32\ with the filters sql.dll and odbc.dll

This will enable us to select the appropriate odbc connector needed to check a specific server i.e. one in about 500 servers - all different. Being able to assign the appropriate library file is important to the project.

I’ve tried several things over several hours/days but since 2015 things have changed quite a bit and I can’t find the appropriate syntax.

Any help is appreciated. I could jump out into another language to do this but it would surely be nice if we could just click a button and make the selection.

I have the latest xojo, latest mbs etc…

Thanks
Ben

Unfortunately this is not possible with Xojo out of the box. You will need declares or plugins to achieve this.
