Obsolete files

Saving as xojo_project (text) format, sometimes Xojo leave back files named like: ClassName.xojo_class.obsolete_20140113_154405.
I guess these are temporary file but the problem is they pollute the remote repository.

It is safe to delete these files?
And if yes, I wonder if there is a reason why Xojo don’t delete them.

This happens when you delete or move a class (or module, etc.), and is how the version control software can restore that deleted class later if you change your mind. If you know you won’t need it, yes, they can safely be deleted.
