Notarising needed for the dmg as well as the app?

With the most recent AppWrapper, I was able to sign and notarise my app (I’ll have to do that again as I’ve made some changes, but that shouldn’t be an issue). Next is to build the dmg which as well as the app has documentation. So far I’ve just been signing that with AppWrapper. But will the dmg need notarising as well?

Yes. AppWrapper can do that too with the latest version. If you hit the notarize button you can send it to Apple to get the receipt. DMG Canvas has it built-in but, so far, I’ve been unable to get it to work but AppWrapper has successfully done it for me.

You don’t need to notarize both. Sign the app, put it in the dmg and notarize the dmg itself. Apple opens it and checks everything inside anyway.
