New Look Cross Platform Database Application

What a load of concocted bullshit!!

All Richard was asking for was a way forward - I tried to facilitate that.[/quote]
What is that exactly in reply to?

Let’s keep this conversation constructive…

I just didn’t understand what Steve was replying to since both Alexis and I were agreeing with him …

What a great idea which Microsoft used. Same function, just look a little different

I don’t know, so far this has been a very constructive thread and I’ve enjoyed following it… So let’s just keep it that way.

Trisha - the improvements are looking great!

Thankyou Dana, and I do apololgize for my rather terse behavior.

It does seem that I start with good intentions, and good ideas, and have something positive to contribute, but somehow it ends in a negative way - not good, not good at all - that is my problem.

I offend people, and I’m sure that Richard just wants to have positive comments and ideas for a solution. The worst thing is that everything I posted previously actually has some merit, ie. Richards Layout requirements, and how it can be improved.

Seems like I’m always apologizing - sorry Tim

@ Richard, my background is all about design - happpy to help in that regard - gratis.

@Steve Kelepouris I think you are very passionate when it comes to design and your comments are very valuable and welcome. We all leave a bad comment from time to time. We are just humans. I am happy to see you are still here to give us your thoughts about on how to improve our UI’s. Thank you.

what matter to me when some one say it look old fashion but does not give any suggestion for improvent.

back in the 90’s when i start using Ms Access for software development and someone say ms access is crap but cannot give me any suggestion on what to do instead.

I hope Axialis have the Mac OS app…
Have a nice day Richard

Richard,

totally digging the left side menu with expand and collapse functionality… great job!

For the search section… I am thinking maybe add it to the right up top horizontally then display the section contain below that. The search section is a subset of controls for the right… I would reserve the left strictly for application navigation.

you are making allot of progress!

can you illustrate what you are trying to convey.

it is a program, that once it is installed, gives you a very quick access to a lot of icons, which you can drag and drop into applications for use.

And you can search by name, etc… very nice.

Hi Steve,

where should i put all those button on the sidebar (where “hard gray box” is and the title and function is )??

so what should go to the section for search option and what should go to the content?? i assume the menu section is the new stackview

thanks for recommend Martin’s Stackview to me.
