MYSQL license

I’ve seen a pile of topics on this, but I can’t see a clear answer here or on google.

If I have a Xojo app that connects to several databases, including MySQL, and do not redistribute MySQL ( just rely on a customer to pick their own DB), do I have to pay a license or not?

I’ve always preferred PostgreSQL but I have a customer asking specifically about it, and I want to make sure I understand the implications.

As far as I know you only need a license if you bundle MySQL. As you just connect to it, you don’t do that.
