For years we had a QuickLook plugin to provide a preview into Xojo projects and show the version number. I don’t know about you, but I have current 12 different Xojo versions installed.
Our extension shows the version number of Xojo projects and if space is available, we show the type (Binary, Text or XML) below the number.
You can also see the details in the QuickLook preview:
To install, please copy into /Applications folder (or subfolder) and then double click it once to open and register. Then you can close it and never open it again. Since thumbnails are cached by Finder, it may take a while to show.
If you want, you can run qlmanage -r or
qlmanage -r cache
in the Terminal to reset the quicklook and/or its cache.
Thank you Christian, I really appreciate this update.
I was a little dismayed, when I updated to Sequoia, to discover the old Quicklook plugin had stopped working.
But this appears to work as advertised, though with Sequoia I had to also manually enable the extension under System Settings > General > Login Items & Extensions > Extensions > Quick Look.
In my experience, it worked straight away. I copied the app to /Applications, launched it, kept it open until I saw a notification about an added extension (perhaps that’s a required step?) and then quit the app. Then I navigated to my programming folder; the very first time, the icons didn’t change, but I went down in a subfolder and the preview started to work.
