MBS Examples on Github?

Hi,

I got a query for whether I you guys would like to see the MBS examples on github.

What you like to see that?

It would not hurt. But as they would not work without the plugins, it would make sense to have them there too.

Personally, I have the reflex to look first in the package I bought.

The whole project depends more on the questions if we can convert 2000+ projects to text format.

I agree with Michel. Keep it in the package.

The examples are part of the dowload. What benefits are there for having the examples on Github? I’d rather have a better quality in the examples.

I think exactly this could happen on GitHub. Because MBS Users can work together extending the examples in many ways.

Well, I could mirror them to GitHub of course.
I still would keep them in binary version in the download.

Why not a simple app with the examples on the left and some info in the right side about the specific example?
Download btn for the examples from the website of creator,upload btn for user to upload extend example to creator website to share,etc ?

I like that for two reasons:

I’m working on Visual Studio 2015 (yeah… is a client $$ requirement) and many examples are on github, I clone it from IDE just putting the url choose directory and click to get it! even fork, issues or request can be done from IDE, that is a nice workflow! just @Loannis Kolliageorgas says.

If you put all your examples on github, the xojo community can have more notoriety on github, and I could navigate on your github account and see the examples before test it, that would be nice.

So +1 to put it on github!!

I would use GitHub with Xojo, but don’t know how to do it with Xojo.

Examples on GitHub. I’ve used your plugins for many years and buy the upgrade each year. However, your site sucks. Trying to find anything is cumbersome. The Google search feature is horrid.

Also, if hosted on Github then the examples could be updated and expanded by other users. Some of your examples do not address all methods and/or properties the class introduces.

I always and I mean always look at my git repos before looking anywhere else. I know it is a lot of work so I wouldnt say I demand it but would really appreciate it.
