Licensing

If I only want to run apps on Macs and Windows, do I just purchase a $100 license for Macs and a second $100 license for Windows?

Run, or compile? You can run without a license.

But yes, two Lite licenses will get you what you’re looking for - although for $100 more, you could get the Desktop license for all platforms and database, multi-core support, etc. Might be worth considering.

Um, actually it’s another $ 200 to get the Desktop license.

But do consider all the options. Though as a former “Lite” license user, you still get a heck of a lot of usefulness. I was quite happy with Lite. Especially now that saving projects in text format is now included with Lite. Of course, eventually once I knew I wanted to create more complex projects, I upgrade to Desktop.

Oops, you’re right. That changes the calculus considerably.

You could start with one and grab the other at a sale.
Or the desktop upgrade.

Thanks to everyone that responded. That’s what I was thinking but wanted to make sure. I will probably buy Mac first since that’s what I use.
