Last words

As I don’t allowed to add my last word to this topics, I try do it there:

You can’t image how sad I am about that, that you are so wrong @Tim. No – for you bad I don’t think that all is about me. It can’t be about me, as not Xojo server, even you, don’t know, who I am. So simple is that. Besides – you write that all works together to provide a better experience for all. As you see – I’m not that one, who belongs to all – so I’m not the all.

Unlike you, I can imagine others pain. Yes – I may be too blunt-spoken, but I haven’t told yet anything wrong. You can’t accept that you don’t know about Windows native passwordfield vulnerability and with loud voice suggested to use it several times with bold letters. Get over it. I always spoke truth, because if I lie and say, that stupid man is not stupid – he will never learn.

Still I can’t understand purpose of that temporally ban from server. I have logged in to forum and Xojo site with my name and password. Why server can’t count that? Why it must torture me? I behive like usual, I don’t scrape anything, I just want answers for my questions quicker. That is the way, I work. And sorry – if Xojo typical user like @Travis uses just one tab, step and back, step and back, step and back, then we have nothing to discuss here. I don’t want belong to that typical horde. I can more. Thanks for opening my eyes.

I was asked at 2017 autumn in local community adult’s further education center to teach programming and I thought about Xojo, as it is RAD with easy learning curve and huge possibilities, but now I must think twice before I take that step, as wise community is also very important. I’m sorry – there are very pleasant members to deal with, but drop of tar can ruin a pot of honey.

P.S.
 I give up. I wanted to Like @Tomas Jakobs last post, but server responded that “You have not permissions to do that.” What is wrong with you people? I understand if I can’t start new conversation or replay to post, but I can’t like them? It’s a new and higher level of something, I can’t also understand.

@Greg – thanks for your answer, but the way, I search information from internet with plain browser, seems to be overkill for your servers, so as to one can be live, one must be die. Let it be me. I have been lived years with that torture, I can live in the future too. Just bitter taste will stay…

P.P.S.
Okey – I’m bind from hands and legs. Thanks Xojo! Even no last words allowed. I have no permission to do that.

I looked at the other thread, but it was kind of tl;dr…

While I am sure that there are probably a few vulnerabilities with the native Windows password field, I too would recommend to use it over a custom control… This is not a knock at your code or your coding capabilities, it is just good from a security point of view… Lets say that both your control and the native Windows control have the same security issue, because your control runs cross-platform, your control introduces that security risk to Windows, macOS and Linux… Also, when Microsoft patches their OS, your code will still have the security risks… Again, just an example, not something that is currently happening (to the best of my knowledge)…

Unless the server actually says you are banned, it could just be a temporary glitch… I run esoTalk on my server and there are times when it just fails (and I am the only user)… The code base for esoTalk is old and the developer has moved on to create a new forum software…

Personally, I open tabs for each of the new threads on the server, so it can be done, if you are so inclined to do so…

“You have not permissions to do that.” - I got that just before reading this post, when I was trying to reply to a thread, so I just refreshed the forum and reloaded the thread and it worked… Again, just a software glitch…
