is it possible to read barcodes from external hardware laser barcode device on iOS?

Most apps I’ve seen use the camera, but you might be able to do it over a Bluetooth connection.

yes but the camera is not ok in dark areas. it has to be a laser barcodescanner

i believe this emulates a bluetooth keyboard. i’ve not tried it, but its listed as ‘supports IOS.’

Hi Andreas

Take a look at the Linea Pro barcode readers. I have set up a batch of these for stock-takes in a few different locations and they work great.

I have used them on a number of iPod touches. Works great with Xojo iOS apps.

hey @Gavin Smith , we have been using them for FileMaker iOS apps, they work great indeed. Have you managed to interface them without popping the keyboard interface in Xojo iOS? i.e.: got them working natively and calling them a a USB HID device? thanks much
