Just a quick shout out of kudos to @Roger_Meier and his OpenSimpleTerm (aka bare-bones version of CoolTerm). Although I have never needed to go down the road of doing serial communications in Xojo, I can’t tell you how many forum posts I’ve seen through the years detailing OpenSimpleTerm/CoolTerm in troubleshooting the setup and coding of serial communications. Frankly, it seems to be the de facto project to use when heading down this road.
Without Roger and his gracious contribution to the community, I’m sure there would have been many more folks banging their head against the wall and pulling much of their hair out along the way. 
The latest thread this week is an great example of yet again his project coming to someone’s rescue.
So kudos to Roger and thanks for being one of the foundations, in this case for serial comms, within the Xojo world.
