I made a little app to collect name and email from visitors at a neighborhood event. Didn’t want to let users quit.
I just installed it on the computer that will be used (an older Mac with real function keys). Ran it. So far so good. Tried to quit (there’s a secret way). It didn’t work.
Now for the point of this note: So I held the power key down, which should force a restart. The alert that says so-and-so app is running do you want to retry or cancel. The app prevented that from working as well. That’s the good news.
I was able to (with some agony) launch the Activity Monitor and Force Quit. Found a bug in my secret quit process.
