iOS Simulator displays wrong model

Recently downloaded Simulator 18. Also have Simulator 17.5. When I try to run my app on iPhone 6s this is the model that runs. I don’t know what model it is but I do know it is not a 6s.

That sounds like an Apple problem, not a Xojo problem.

Did you check your Simulators list in Xcode to make sure the iPhone 6s entry is what it is named?

Absolutely it is an Apple problem. I used to get the 6s before downloading the latest simulator app. I was hoping someone had seen this and knew a fix.

If you go to settings → general → info
Do you see a model which it actually is?

Sorry,
I don’t see a Settings->General->Info selection for any of the relevant apps.
I added the iPhone 6s through the Simulator app File → New Simulator… menu. In the window that brings up I selected the iPhone 6s from the popup menu. I can only guess that the popup menu then points to the wrong simulator.

I just tried adding an iPhone 6S here on my machine and it won’t let me choose anything newer than iOS 15. I suspect that an iPhone 6S won’t run anything newer and simulator is just loading something that will run iOS 18 for you.

Greg was correct. I downloaded Xcode 15.4 and then I could get the Simulator to create and run iPhone 6s
