Interfaces Docs and Tutorial

Hello

So, seeing as how Interfaces I’ve been asked to explain Xojo Interfaces, I was wondering if there’s any good documentation out there that doesn’t just document interfaces but explains the logic behind them, aimed at new users?

I was hopeful the wiki would have something, but it’s somewhat lacking: http://documentation.xojo.com/index.php/User_Guide_Fundamentals#Interfaces

What I’m looking for is an explanation that I can share that doesn’t assume the recipient already knows about them from other languages.

It might be that the new books cover this sensibly. I haven’t checked since I wanted a specific link I could share. I’ll share the book if there’s no way around it.

The wiki doesn’t contain the contents of the User Guide. The User Guide itself has several pages on Interfaces, including an example.

I didn’t even think of checking what’s in the User Guide PDF of the IDE (I understand this is what you mean, in my case here page 150 of the PDF onwards). Is this not available then as a link I could send someone?

I’ve been asked by someone who currently only has an iPad and wanted to brush up and I’d rather not explain it over Whatsapp

I guess I could send them the PDF and tell them where to look for.

No, it is not linkable at this time.

The best you could do is send them links to the entire PDF / iBooks documents
Those are listed right on http://documentation.xojo.com

Yeah, I wanted to give a more precise link to avoid downloading to the iPad or chasing stuff but this’ll have to do. Thanks!
