So you’re basically looking for a cheap environment to develop some kind of database entry and viewing app, that’s easy to learn, too and for which there might exist Romanian language tutorials and since you mention ScriptCase all the time can run in a browser?
If it’s only about MySQL then google for some of the free open source tools for your platform. But coding without coding won’t be available in the next decades until software is able to read your thoughts. Even with a great DB-tool like FileMaker you may need some coding. Beside, FileMaker has it’s own DB-format which can only connect to MySQL.
Aurel… it is what it is… either accept the Xojo licenceing terms, use VS for free or find another alternative…
But continually asking/complaining is not going to change the facts…
If you have been following RealStudio/Xojo for any time on the previous forum, you were WELL aware of the changes to the license… and had ample opportunity to get a RealStudio Personal license at that time for only $100, a license that would have gotten you the Xojo full release at no addtional charge.
And there is no such thing as “no coding”… EVERYTHING requires some amount of coding. which is why we are called Developers not Magicians (although sometimes it seems that way)
Remember - TNSTAAFL - There’s No Such Thing As A Free Lunch
You either pay for a tool that gives the simplicity that you seek (Filemaker), or you work with the tools that are available within your budget and do the work yourself (VB, ThinBasic, etc.).
There’s also pure basic as an alternative, certainly not as polished visually compared to Xojo and has it’s pros and cons, but it’s cross platform at least.
But depending on what you want to do, there’s:
Live Code
Haxe /nme
Juce
QT
Tide SDK
Appcellerator
PhoneGap
if you want to build with the potential to cross-platform without re-learning after developing for windows initially, but their licenses are often higher than Xojo for commercial (and open source for non commercial) mostly.
Probably the BEST thing to do is try out Xojo without buying anything and see if it meets your needs BEFORE purchasing anything.
This will help you make an informed decision without buyers remorse.
Agreed. You can learn it for free now. So give it a try and perhaps you will find that a Xojo Desktop license is well worth it.
