I can't debug at all

I’m screwed. I can’t debug either desktop or web. I’m dead in the water at a time when clients are starting to use the software for the athletic season. Any ideas?

I use windows and Norton security. Despite shutting down every security thing I can find whether Norton or windows, debug still won’t run . . . and of course instructions on the internet are horrible.

This is what I’m getting for desktop:

Web:

In Xojo . . .

Have you done the needful?

  • A second user on the same computer.
  • Rebooted the computer.
  • Reset the caches.
  • Tried on a second computer.

The first three are just to make sure that everything is covered.

Do you have a firewall? Doesn’t Windows itself have a firewall?

Thanks for the answer.

I’m the only one on my computer and it worked just (with closing Norton’s protection) just this afternoon.

I did reboot.

deleted the cache, still got this

I turned off the Norton firewall then turned off the Windows firewall.

I think I’m screwed

Then make a test user. How do you test for non-admin access?

You don’t have a second computer? You can still try to install Xojo in a VM and then it’s time to contact Xojo support.

Why don’t you try running Xojo in a Virtual Machine and see if you can get things running over there. That could potentially isolate things a bit especially if you set things up with bridged networking.

Otherwise if time is tight and things are super critical like they sound, why not try uninstalling Norton and see if that does the trick. If not, you can always simply reinstall it.
