How to set app icon in MAC

I want to set app icon for desktop application in MAC.
I have set up an app icon ,it is working fine for windows but for MAC it is showing default app icon .
Is there any other way to set app icon for MAC ?

How did you set it up? Via a click on the app object in Navigator and assigning one or several images to the placeholders? That should be enough. If it doesnt show: What kind of image are you trying to assign?

Yes ,I have assign png image.
What kind of image it should be?

PNG is perfectly fine. Does it show correctly in the app objects icon preview?

Yes ,I got my mistake .
I have set 1024bit image only ,now i set several images and it works fine.
But notification still shows default app icon .

Set ALL images and it should be fine.
